While reading through my first essay, I noticed that I tend to repeat certain things multiple times in an attempt to try and get the point across, but this does not always work. I rely on repetition when I could use other devices to support my ideas. I also feel that I summarize the sources too much, when I should just be using their key points to make my claims stronger. I feel that although this essay was about metaphor, I used the word way too much, and this repetition did not really help my cause. I do not think that any of my passages or paragraphs are terribly hard to follow so I do not think that I have to edit any of them.
