After reading Anne Lamott’s “Shitty First Drafts”, I think that I did a decent job at not following her example for the most part. I kept my thoughts pretty clear and organized, although I do feel like I rambled on a little bit when I first wrote my essay. However, when I went through it for a second time as review I cleaned it up a bit. I noticed that in her essay, she mentions that even the best of writers have these problems and I feel like this must be true. Although I am not the best writer, I make mistakes as they make mistakes, so I should not feel as bad about my own

Revision Plan Strategy

I feel that the process of peer editing other’s work and having my own work reviewed by peers was very helpful. This is because it will allow me to edit my work in order to make it even better, as well as help them do the same. As I looked through the comments that my peers made on my paper I feel like I will be able to write a much better second draft. I also feel like the comments that I made on my peers’ writing will actually help me in my own expedition. The following steps will allow me to make sure my argument is covered throughout my whole paper and that my paper flows well.

  1. Make sure my argument is supported fully throughout the whole paper. I will do this by looking through each paragraph to make sure that the thesis is supported in each.
  2. I will incorporate more quotes from the three sources as supporting examples of my thesis, along with in-text citations for these quotes.
  3. I will split my third paragraph into two paragraphs, as it is very long.
  4. I will use an example from my own life or relate how metaphor will effect my future in pharmacy.
  5. I will check for spelling and grammatical errors to make sure everything flows beautifully.

The biggest challenge that I see myself facing is being able to successfully relate all of my points to my argument without going astray from my own thoughts.

If this challenge does appear to myself, and I am not able to overcome it, I will look to my peers for guidance, as well as utilize the resources that SASC present us. However, I hope that I do not have to face this challenge.
